My ball!

Some of you may know what this ball is. For those of you who don't, it has a hole in it and the idea is to put some treats in it and the dog then rolls it around to get the treats to fall out.
Well, my other ridgie Tessa, is really good at getting the treats to fall out. She has developed a strategy and has the perseverance to keep at it to the very end. She then usually proceeds to steal Zuri's ball from her because Zuri just doesn't have the same luck or whatever it takes to make it work as well as Tessa.
But that one night, Zuri decided that NO! Tessa was not going to steal the ball from her. She was just going to lie there protecting the ball even though she knew that there were still treats in it. Occasionally she would nudge it so that it would almost fall off the futon but then she would save it from falling with her paw. It was quite funny to watch.

Florida's Spring Fun Day

The Sunshine State Rhodesian Ridgeback Club just announced their Spring event- Fun Day will be held in March. Not sure how many RRUS adopters live in Florida but these events are fun. I took Roadie and Logan to the event last fall. Everyone had a blast. This is a great way to show off your rescue dogs!

Location: Lithia, FL
Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Lunch will be served promptly at 11:30

Fees: Members Non-Members

Admission and food $9.00/per person $12.50 per person

(Café Max will be providing burgers, dogs, cole slaw beans, cookies and sodas)

Lure Coursing $1.00 per dog* $ 5.00 per dog*

Puppy Match $1.00 per dog $1.00 per dog

(divided in to 6-9 month, 9-12 months and 12-15 months/show and pet)

50/50 Raffle $1.00/tx $1.00/tx

Basket raffle $1.00/tx $1.00/tx

Everyone is asked to bring one unique item for the basket raffle. All items will be combined and the basket raffled off at the end of the day.

personal tents, chairs, crates, x-pens, water and bowls for the dogs need to be brought by members. Out in the field there is no water access. All dogs must be leashed and under control. No bitches in heat.
