Tiger at his new home.
Hi everyone. First time posting here and wanted to give everyone an update and/or introduction to Tiger. We picked him up about 10 days ago and it's been one ruckus experience ever since! We already had a 1.5 year old female ridgeback named Finn. The first day that Tiger was here Finn wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it has been nothing but Ridgeback Romper-Room ever since. It's a little scary how inseparable they've become. All they do is play, play, play.
Tiger has fantastic manners for a dog who's been abandoned. Incredibly gentle and loving, he's doing his best to disprove the myth that there's no such thing as an 87 lb lap dog.
Everyone's been impressed with his presence and demeanor, and I want to thank Amanda for all the work she did with him.
Tiger loves going to the park and has shown a special affinity for Boston Terriers. He's just a big oaffey guy who loves to play and get attention.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring Tiger to us. Those who transported him, cared for him, those who have made donations, and especially Amanda. You've made our life a whole lot more entertaining, and Tiger's a whole lot happier.

Zuri has a broken toe
Too much fun running in the woods over logs, across the creek chasing lions (deer) Zuri has ended up with a broken toe and has to have her foot in a cast for 3 weeks. Needless to say, she is very frustrated but the first week is almost over and she seems to be adapting well to the life of a couch potato.

Our boy, Caine
Hello all,
I feel that it is long overdue that I give you an update on Caine, who we adopted in September of 2007. He came from Rockford, IL, which happens to be my hometown.
What a great dog!! We can not believe how lucky we are to have him in our family. My husband Patrick and I live in Chicago with our 3 Bengal cats, Tejas, Hank and Hana. Caine has become friends with all the cats, but especially with Hank, the only boy. It is so great to see them in the morning together. Hank walks around Caine, purring and rubbing on him. Caine is quite calm and seems to enjoy the attention.
Caine is a special dog. He is so very sweet. Everyone comments on his sweet demeanor. He is quite attached to me and likes nothing better than to be wherever I am. I get so many comments from fellow dog owners about how great he is. He has been called 'the gentleman of the park' by one dog owner. He plays sometimes, but always watches the other dogs to make sure there is no funny business. If things get out of hand, he stands near the 'offending' dogs until they start behaving.
He LOVES to ride in the car. He will settle down and go to sleep if it's a longer ride.
The only dogs he doesn't seem to like are the unfixed males. Can't blame him for that, and luckily there are not very many in our neighborhood.
I can't believe how lucky we are to have him!
thanks to RRUS!

Julia
