New photos
Hi, everyone,
In addition to the videos, here is a link to a bunch of snow photos of the dogs. Some of the mid-air catches are pretty great.

Hi, everyone,
I got a new digital camera that takes videos. Of the ones I took today, I uploaded the best.

The video is of Hannah and Cheever (blue and red collars, respectively) fetching a Wubba.

Bruno and She La sunbeaming
As Bruno approaches his one year anniversary with us we'd like to let you all know he's doing fine. He is a much more trusting and relaxed dog now, almost a little aggressive trying to get at plates coming back to the sink, but otherwise a big quite guy who lives for meals and walks... and long naps. Kids playing all around him don't even seem to wake him up, but rattle that treat jar lid or loudly pet She'la and he'll come running.
I've heard him growl about twice this year... trying to clip his nails, and he doesn't have a mean word to say to other dogs, even when they are trying to get all territorial with him.
He really enjoys long walks, which is the only way he hasn't ballooned up as that boy loves to eat and eat.
So basically, for a rescue dog that would run yelping if a male approached him with a stern look a year ago to the happy, tail wagging, scratch my belly please dog that he is today, I'd say that he and his adopted family are very happy that we made the long drive a year ago to meet! Thanks again.

This past week we celebrated Sadie's 3 year anniversary with our family. As some of you may recall, we offered to care for her while her family rebuilt the home they lost to Hurricane Katrina. After 4 months her family came to the conclusion that they couldn't rebuild and asked if we would adopt her. Sadie had my husband wrapped around her paw and it was impossible to say "no"! We still communicate with her first family every year at Christmas and on her birthday. Sadie will turn 8 this February and she is still a character! She acts more like a puppy at times than 5 1/2 year old Wrigley who really does love having her order him around! Thank you RRUS for providing so many happy matches that we all enjoy reading about on this blog. May the holidays be filled with lots of puppy kisses and a good pal to snooze by.

What's Your Name?
I was thinking about all the nicknames I have for Roadie. Just wondering if anyone else calls their dogs many different names other than the given call name.
Here's a short list of his nicknames:
- Roads
- Sir Hottentot
- Phins
- Rho-da-phin-a-kin-a-quins (say that 3 times, real fast!)

Niblett
Here is a new picture of Niblett. Excuse our sons head but this is how our crazy 4 year old acts. Niblett is the sweetest dog. She has adjusted to her new home very well and we just love having her. She is still skittish of my husband but not nearly as bad as it was in the beginning. She is definately a Mommy's dog but I don't mind it at all.

Emma's First Christmas Picture...
I just wanted to share some pics of Emma's first official Christmas pictures. We took all the dogs over to our friend's house on Sunday night, dressed them all in their Christmas finery and took their pics. We did our 4, then their 6, then all 10 of them! Needless to say, we were SWEATING by the time it was over. We had quite the variety of sizes starting with an 8 lb Dachshund up to a 150 lb Great Dane! Doesn't Emma look adorable with her Christmas light headband?! She was such a little ham during the photoshoot!

It's been 1 year, 3wks since Zahara came to take over our fridge (not to mention our bed, the couch, our schedules, etc...). How time flies when we're having so much love! Our thanksgiving list included gratitude for 'Hara and RRUS! Thanks y'all.

New Photos
Hi, everyone,
Here are some new photos of Hannah and Cheever from thanksgiving.

All the car travel from Chicago to Hershey had them full of energy. Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots of Cheever parallel to the ground a few feet above the carpet.
