Overseas
Hi, everyone,
I may (stress the may -- nothing is set in stone yet, only musings and ideas) have an opportunity to travel overseas for work for six weeks to six months. How do I take my dogs? Has anyone had experience with taking dogs overseas? I would prefer not to leave them stateside, even with family, for that long. Plus, I think they'd get a kick out of India or Dubai, and the locals there might find them fascinating, too.

CHEW TOYS THAT WILL BREAK CANINE TEETH
IF YOU CANNOT INDENT A CHEW TOY WITH YOUR THUMBNAIL, IT IS TOO HARD FOR CANINE TEETH AND WILL BREAK THEM. TAYLOR FRACTURED THE LARGEST MOLAR - UPPER 4TH PRE-MOLAR AND WILL NEED AN EXTRACTION OR MAY BE ABLE TO GET A ROOT CANAL. WE ARE GOING TO CSU, (COLORADO STATE UNIV. VET SCHOOL) PROBABLY NEXT WEEK TO SEE WHICH IT WILL BE AND HOPE FOR A CANAL. SHE BROKE HER TOOTH ON A NYLABONE.

TJ and Taylor in Colorado
TJ and Taylor were fascinated by the Canadian geese on the pond at our still unsold townhome in Pagosa Springs, CO. No more Nylabones for our dogs as Taylor broke the most important tooth in her mouth and has extraction tomorrow. Will use the Kong rubber toys for power chewers from now on.

Pet Sitting
I am pet sitting for another RRUS adopter this weekend. Harley came over last night and will be spending the weekend w. us. She is such a ball of energy. Roadie and I were trying to get some sleep last night as Logan and Harley continued to play- running around the bedroom like fools.
Today I knew I had to get them all out for some exercise so they would nap while I cleaned the house. So we went to a local park. There are no official dog parks around here. So we close off a baseball field and let the dogs run.
It was great to watch all them running around the bases and into the outfield. Harley is the fastest, please don't tell Roadie I said that ;)
Here are some pics of our adventure this morning. They started off running and ended up cooling off in front of the dugout.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are going to enjoy Harley's visit.

Gus and his brothers....
It's been quite a while so I thought I'd send some new pics along of Gus with the boys! He's much bigger now! We're getting our yard fenced this week and I'm so excited! We've been very bust with school starting so he hasn't gotten the exercise that he needs. That'll change in a few days! Although, I picture him running a lap, then crying at the door if no one is out there with him! Hope I didn't just insert the same pics twice......probably tho'!
